One Thursday evening, the twins and I joined Leah and her superhero speech pathologist for a game of Apples to Apples, a relative newcomer to Leah’s speech rotation. In addition to providing lots of opportunities for comparing and classifying, it provides excellent training for the future Cards Against Humanity player in your life.

When it was Leah's turn to judge, the green card she drew was ‘stinky’. And the rules went out the window; even though she wasn't supposed to respond, Leah was the first to slap a red card on the table, announcing loudly, ‘My mom.’

She got the hang of it quickly.
